Kim Jong Un pushes for ‘toughest anti-US’ posture yet as Trump eyes revived bromance

North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Un recently told top officials in the pariah kingdom that he would launch his country's “harshest anti-American counterattack ever”, state media said.

Despite President-elect Donald Trump's indications that he will continue to reach out to North Korea, Kim remains obsessed with expanding U.S. influence in the region, and North Korea's autocrat has become more “intelligent” toward the United States. It calls for “proactive and aggressive external activities.”

Mr. Kim, 40, said state media claimed the United States, South Korea and Japan had formed a “nuclear military bloc for invasion” and that the three allies were promoting anti-communism. Korean Central News Agency Reported.

Trump, 78, was not mentioned in the state policy report on Kim's remarks at a conference of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party, which ended on Friday.

When Trump first took office in 2017, the threat from North Korea was seen as growing, with the 45th president initially calling for “fire and fury like the world has never seen.” He responded with heated rhetoric, including threatening Kim.

Trump also sporadically used abusive language against Kim, calling him “Rocket Man” and “Little Rocket Man” in an attack on the dictator's love of nuclear weapons.

But by early 2018, tensions began to subside. President Trump ultimately met with Kim Jong Un three times during his presidency in an effort to reach an agreement over North Korea's nuclear forces, but that did not materialize.

Since then, President Trump has publicly gushed about the “beautiful” letter Kim sent during the brief détente between the two countries.

Immediately after winning the 2024 election, Trump reportedly Amid hopes of rekindling talks aimed at thawing the icy relationship between the two countries, they explored the possibility of direct talks with Kim and others.

However, half a world away, North Korea is accelerating its missile and weapons tests. In October, the impoverished country also sent more than 10,000 troops and weapons to support Russia in its bloody war with neighboring Ukraine.

White House Press Secretary John Kirby claimed that North Korea's military is being treated as “expendable” by Russia and forced into a “desperate attack on Ukraine's defenses.”

“I hope they load up the commanders with a lot of body bags, because obviously they're going to need them,” Kirby told North Korean reporters.

Pyongyang is one of the largest armies Around the world, it is believed to be supporting the Kremlin in exchange for aid, including access to more advanced technology.

Escalating conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East could cast a large shadow over President Trump's potential efforts to ease strained relations between the United States and North Korea.

President Trump has made it clear that ending these conflicts will be one of his top foreign policy priorities after taking office.
