Arizona State running back Cam Scatterbo had a career year in his senior season with the Sun Devils, rushing for over 1,500 yards and scoring 19 touchdowns on the ground.
He rode a wave of confidence to become a Big 12 Conference champion and helped the Sun Devils reach the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff with a bye. Even with a few weeks off in preparation for the game against the Texas Longhorns, his confidence remained.

“There's no one that can stop me,” he told reporters Monday ahead of the Peach Bowl. Via ESPN.
“They keep saying people are trying to stop me. There's no one who can stop me. We've played 13 games and in every game I've been a target, so I don't worry too much. “We're going to play our game and play ball and see what happens there.”
Skatebo said he respects the Longhorns and what they bring defensively and loves that defenses see him as a threat every time he touches the ball. Scatterbo scored two rushing touchdowns in the Big 12 title game against Iowa State and then three rushing touchdowns in back-to-back games against rivals Arizona State and BYU.
Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt also wanted to prove the Sun Devils had a better quarterback.

“I've been watching him for quite some time,” he said Saturday when asked about Ewers. “I'm excited for this opportunity. People have been counting me out since day one. I'm going to go out and prove why I'm a good quarterback.”
After head coach Kenny Dillingham, the Sun Devils finished with 11 wins for the first time since 1996 under coach Bruce Snyder. That year, Arizona State made it to the Rose Bowl, but lost to Ohio State.
Arizona State University is confident its fortunes will change dramatically.
Meanwhile, Longhorns star Quinn Ewers didn't want to get in on the hype before Wednesday's kickoff.

Asked about Levitt, Ewers said, “I watched it, and I just congratulate them on a great year and a great season.” “I got to watch some of their games. And, you know, he's a talented player, a fun offense to watch. And again, playing against them. I’m just excited.”
