A Texas pizza shop whose tip jar's money was stolen by teenagers comes up with a creative way to get the stolen cash back, but in the process discovers a new victim of the brazen crew.
employees of stone oven pizza Located in Wichita Falls, Texas posted on Facebook about the dire situation.He explained that the teenage thieves had left behind a cowboy hat, so the workers decided to auction it off to recover the stolen chips.
“Last night our crew had an incident where several teenagers stole chips from the tip jar…but luckily they left this hat behind…we “We're not big fans of hats around here, but there is a Wichita Falls community that knows beautiful hats, so we wanted to start an auction,” the post said.
“The highest bidder by Tuesday afternoon will win this Authentic Cowboy Jicama Giga prize. All proceeds will be divided equally among the three team members who did not win any chips last night. And The balance of the multiverse will be restored!”
The restaurant then updated its Facebook followers on Dec. 28, pointing out that the viral post led them to the owner of the tan Justin Bent Rail cowboy hat, and that the owner's truck was wearing the same sticky one. He said he was broken into by teenagers.
“Thanks to this attention, we were able to find the original owner of the hat…not the teenager who dropped it, but a gentleman whose truck was broken into by children who stole the hat.” Updated It is explained here.

Although the hats were no longer up for auction, the eatery continued to care for employees affected by the crime.
