Cowboys’ Brandon Aubrey apologizes to cheerleader for drilling her with ball

Cowboys cheerleader Michelle Siemienowski is reflecting on her “whirlwind” in the national spotlight after she was hit in the head by a ball that fell off the feet of Dallas kicker Brandon Aubrey on Sunday.

In a post shared to Instagram Stories on Monday, the first-year cheerleader reassured fans that she was “okay” after the incident, and Aubrey, 29, gave a heartfelt message to the game-day guide for the Cowboys' final game of the season. The commander, who revealed that he had written a memo of apology, lost.

“The last 24 hours have been a whirlwind!” Siemienowski began. “I've received so many messages and I want to thank everyone for checking in and giving me their kind words. I'm fine, so don't worry!

“Also… Thank you @baubs10 for this apology! He asked me to come look for me at the ground after the incident, but unfortunately I was moving around the ground. Anyway, he wrote me a note. It was very kind of you to write this!”

Siemienowski added that he has “no hard feelings” toward Aubrey and that his notes serve as “a memento from the last game of his rookie season.”

She concluded her message by congratulating Aubrey on his accomplishments. Break Cowboys single season record If you score a field goal.

Aubrey went 4-for-4 on Sunday. He becomes the fifth kicker in league history to do so. Make over 40 field goals in one season.

The kick incident involving Aubrey occurred during the first half of Sunday's game at AT&T Stadium, and despite a cameraman's efforts to deflect the ball, it went off the sideline and hit Siemienoski.

Siemienoski fell forward to the ground, but quickly got back to his feet as fellow cheerleaders and Commanders punter Torres Way looked on.

Afterward, she was seen sitting down, smiling and reassuring herself on the Fox broadcast.

Siemienowski, a California native, joined the Cowboys in July 2024.

“Thank God, I have been praying every day for this blessed new chapter of my life. This has been the most life-changing experience, but this is just the beginning. , I'm so grateful to have the boots.” she gushed on Instagram at the time.

“I’m so excited to have the opportunity to represent the greatest organization and support America’s Team!”

The Cowboys finished the 2024 season with a disappointing 7-10 record.
