A Gallup poll on Tuesday found President Joe Biden to be the second-worst president in American history.
Biden and his allies are trying to claim that he will be remembered as one of the greatest presidents in history, but that doesn't seem to be supported by the data.
Fifty-four percent of Americans say Biden will be remembered as a “below average” (37%) or “poor” (17%) president. Only 19% said he would be remembered as “outstanding” (6%) or “above average” (13%). 26% think he is considered “average”.
The only president with a worse overall rating than Biden is Richard Nixon, Gallup. Found:
- John F. Kennedy – 68 years old
- Ronald Reagan – 38 years old
- Barack Obama – 21
- George H.W. Bush – 7
- Jimmy Carter – 6
- Bill Clinton – 5
- George W. Bush – (-9)
- Joe Biden – (-35)
- Richard Nixon – (-42)
gallup reported:
Compared to the nine recent presidents included in Gallup's new poll, Biden's rating is most similar to Richard Nixon's, with a net rating of -42 (12% excellent or above average, 12% below average). or poor (54%). Biden receives more “poor” ratings than Nixon (37% vs. 30%), but Biden also receives better or above average ratings.
….
Americans do not expect history to be kind when judging President Biden's appointments. At present, his evaluation is similar to that of Mr. Nixon, who resigned from the White House due to the Watergate scandal. Mr. Biden's fellow Democrats are less enthusiastic about his presidency than other recent Democratic presidents, and Mr. Biden is currently the only recent candidate to receive net negative ratings among independents. He is a Democratic president. But past presidents, including Mr. Carter, George W.
Under Biden's leadership, America suffered a deadly Afghanistan withdrawal, soaring inflation, the weaponization of justice, the prosecution of political opponents, and a gridlocked Congress unable to resolve the country's woes.
Russia also invaded Ukraine, and millions of migrants poured across the southern border of the United States. According to Biden's own Department of Housing and Urban Development, the homeless population increased by 18% in 2024 alone due to rising prices and a surge in immigration.
President-elect Donald Trump believes Biden is “the worst president in American history, a complete and utter disaster.”
The United States has had several presidents who are often criticized as the worst in history.
That includes Andrew Johnson, his successor in a questionable rebuild. Woodrow Wilson, father of the administrative state. Lyndon Johnson shaped the weaponization of the administrative state. George W. Bush expanded the powers of the national security state. And Barack Obama, the pinnacle of wakeism.
