Tech billionaire and anti-aging influencer Brian Johnson made it clear that he doesn't think his lifestyle will kill him.
Starring Johnson The Free Press' Honestly Podcast We sit down with Bari Weiss on Tuesday to talk about his recent Netflix documentary, Don't Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever, which details his strict regime towards his goal of immortality.
Johnson described himself as “quantitatively” the healthiest person on record, and although he was unsure about living “forever”, he was candid that he didn't think he would die.
“Do you think you're going to die?” Weiss asked.
Technology mogul seeking immortality says humanity's new 'zero generation' will transcend 'all human norms'
“No,” Johnson replied.
Weiss followed up with, “Do you think you can live forever?”
“Eternity is not a concept that humans can conceive of, but can we go beyond our preconceptions and fundamentally extend lifespans? Yes,” Johnson said. “Will it happen before my natural limit now? If I stay healthy, my life expectancy is probably, I don't know, 80, 90, something like that. But technology Progress is so fast that…the species will either survive or die at this moment, much faster than my lifespan will extend.”
Johnson's lifestyle includes going to bed at 8:30 p.m., monitoring his nighttime erections, and even injecting his teenage son's plasma into his bloodstream.

Asked if he thought we were “missing what makes up life,” Johnson elaborated that our knowledge of life is still limited.
“Let's imagine we're doing a thought experiment. We're hanging out with Homo erectus. They existed a million years ago. And we're Homo erectus. “Homo erectus, tell me what is your purpose in life?” And they would groan and say, “Well, it's about hunting and gathering, we're going to move tribes, we're going to have more wars.” They won't be able to talk about quantum mechanics and smartphones and antibiotics and the electromagnetic spectrum and this new form of AI art. Those are not concepts they can understand. ”
He added: “They won't be able to speak intelligently about what a beautiful life is. They have a very primitive thought process. We are as primitive to AI as Homo erectus. We are similarly primitive.” Therefore, the idea that we somehow master existence and know the purpose of existence is such a foolish concept. ”
He added that it's important for people to remain “incredibly humble” when contemplating existence, adding that when trying to achieve this lifestyle, “there are many questions about what it means. He encouraged listeners to eliminate their preconceptions.

Speaking about his lifestyle on Fox News Digital last year, Johnson summed up his views in one simple mantra: “Don't die.”

“When you're just a step away from having the power of God, in this case artificial intelligence, your only enemy is death,” he added. “There is no other enemy. This is not the time to gather armies and conquer territory. It was a game centuries ago before Homo sapiens. It is not a game for us today. We're just in a different era, and we need to update our gameplay as a species to understand where we are.”
