President-elect Trump has announced the latest selections to join his growing Cabinet selection as the Jan. 20 Inauguration Day approaches.
President Trump said in an announcement Friday night that Bill Briggs will be the next deputy administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration. If confirmed, Briggs will serve alongside Kelly Loeffler, Trump's nominee to lead the SBA.
“Bill is a successful businessman who served as acting deputy administrator for the SBA's Office of Capital Access during my first term,” he said. “During his tenure, Bill helped oversee the historic Paycheck Protection Program, which saved many small businesses and millions of jobs.”

The President-elect also announced the selection of Ed Russo to serve on the Environmental Advisory Council.
“I am pleased to announce that environmental expert Ed Russo will lead the Environmental Advisory Board. and advise the administration on efforts to protect the country,” he said. “Together, we will achieve American energy dominance, rebuild our economy, and drill, baby, drill.”

The nomination was made as January 20 approaches and President Trump is selecting members of his cabinet.
The Republican-controlled US Senate will soon begin hearings on President Trump's cabinet nominees.

Republicans will at one point control the Senate with 53 seats to Democrats' 47. Senator-elect Jim Justice West Virginia's governor was sworn in in late January, and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine appointed a senator to fill Vice President-elect Vance's seat.
