Several years ago, I began attending counseling sessions with a Christian therapist because I was struggling with what the broader field of psychology calls the “inner critic.” It's that annoying voice that whispers you're not good enough, you're a failure, you're unlovable.
As a reader and researcher, I went into my first session already knowing that our inner critic comes from two main places. It arises from society's unrealistic expectations or from internalizing criticism from others, usually during childhood.
I don't think I took into account the fact that I was watching.
christian Because before I could finish telling her what I think is the origin of my inner critic, she interrupted me.
Actually, I think what you're dealing with is a diabolical lie.
forgiveness?
Yeah, I think the terrible things you think about yourself aren't necessarily what you think. Those are lies whispered by the enemy. you need to reprimand them.
The idea was novel to me at the time. I believed in the devil. They believed that demons could and often did torment people. But this certainly wasn't the case. This was me mentally flogging myself for not meeting the expectations I had subconsciously agreed to.
The left is gripped by a demonic ideology.
I'm not going to go into the details of the long and somewhat strange journey it took me to realize that my counselor was right. A voice that gently rebukes us when we make a mistake and calls us to repentance, a God-given conscience that guides us in general ethics and morals, and a hateful and false enemy. Suffice it to say, I can now tell the voices apart. They paralyze us with fear and shame and often use our past traumas or modern lofty standards to create a division between us and God.
When the hateful voice of the enemy rears its head, hurling accusations, insults, and lies, the only way to silence it is to rebuke it as slander from the devil, who the Bible says serves on behalf of Satan. I learned. He calls them “the accusers of our brothers” (Revelation 12:10). Lying is “his native tongue,” says John 8:44.
Perhaps this trained discernment allows me to recognize the devil's lies in other arenas.
Christians now – not Christians in name only, but saints who regard the Bible as truth and authority – understand that the left is in the grip of a demonic ideology.
Since the dawn of this new progressive Democratic Party, its followers have denounced the Big Three: child sexualization, abortion, and gender theory. These are the most diametrically opposed to Biblical doctrine, and therefore can be easily identified as: Demonic.
But there is another way that Satan influences the Democratic Party and its voter base to do its bidding, and it is one that does not receive enough attention. Not only does he convince liberals that progressivism, which overturns Biblical truth, is the way forward, but his response to his opponents is to spew poisonous, slanderous accusations, most of them terrible. Convincing liberals that it's a lie.
Let's look at some common accusations from the radical left.
- If you think marriage is between a man and a woman, you are a homophobe.
- If you don't support censorship, you support hate speech.
- If you think it's impossible to be born in the wrong body, you're a transphobe.
- If you don't want your child to be exposed to gender theory in school, you're a bigot.
- If you don't buy into the idea of black reparations, you're a racist.
- If you don't support abortion, you want to deny women life-saving medical care.
- If you don't scream in horror at President Trump's mass deportation plan, you're a xenophobe.
- If you don't deny the founding of our country, you're a white supremacist.
The list is endless.
It boils down to this: If you disagree with the ideas of X leftists, you are a despicable human being who deserves to be condemned, ostracized, and shamed. Your neck will be instantly placed in the guillotine of cancel culture.
These types of accusations fit the description of the voice of evil described above. They are judgmental, hateful, and aim to use shame and fear to silence people. They create division. And most of the time they are lies.
Unless, of course, someone is a legitimate racist or misogynist or whatever it is. When it comes to these people (and they do exist, I know some of them), certain accusations are true and deserved. Hating people because of their race, gender, or other immutable characteristics is also satanic and should be condemned as such.
When something falsely charges, creates fear, shame, division, spreads lies, and incites persecution, you can be sure it is demonic.
But if you look at our national landscape as a whole, the truth is that these people are rare and are becoming rarer – and of those that exist, many of them are actually to
above left. They are fighting fake racism and real racism, misogyny and real misandry, fake homophobia and contempt for the nuclear family.
But the radical left either doesn't understand this or simply doesn't care because their own agenda takes precedence.
In any case, they are spouting these accusations to silence their opponents. In doing so, they crush their opponents and instill fear in bystanders who watch wide-eyed as the heads of bold opponents roll. Fear disappears, brave adversaries wither, and destructive lies – whatever they are – crystallize: Pro-lifers
please don't DEI opponents want women to receive life-saving care want Black people have failed and some have not taken the COVID-19 vaccine. teeth Kill grandma. And society as a whole accepts these lies as truth. Those who do not bend the knee will be persecuted.
When something falsely charges, creates fear, shame, division, spreads lies, and incites persecution, you can be sure it is demonic. And if something is demonic, you rebuke it.
But what does this look like? After all, when it comes to these kinds of accusations, we're not dealing with the actual devil, but rather the fact that we've probably unknowingly accepted the devil's beliefs. It's human. Rebuke doesn't look the same.
And perhaps “rebuke” is not the right word. Perhaps “deny” is better suited for this scenario.
I like what Megyn Kelly said recently when reporting on the acquittal of Daniel Penny. In response to BLM radicals who were spewing lies that Penny acted out of racism, Kelly said: I need to find a new line. I don't know what will happen, but the BLM era is officially over. ”
I think her words are a good template.
No, it's not. Now move on with your lies. They have no effect here.
Imagine how public debate would change if we all had this reaction when another false accusation is hurled at us. The power will be drained from that lie and we can just move on.
Under the Biden administration, this simple concept probably wouldn't have worked because of the linkages with legacy media, big tech, and all the other big _____. The story definitely solidified. But the dawn is dawning in America, and the stones are falling. With Donald Trump's inauguration just days away, change is here and more change is on the horizon. The lion's mouth is already closing. The heads of the giants are already rolling.
I said this not to identify with God, no matter how strong and mighty Trump is, but rather that God saved this man because he is helping to bring about an American revival, that is, already in our Because of the role they play in the revival unfolding before their eyes.
Trump has a role to play in rebuilding this great nation: securing our borders, restoring order to our streets, eliminating anti-Americanism, dismantling the deep state, and restoring economic prosperity.
But we also have an important role to play. I feel strongly that part of that role is, one, to recognize that the accusations and smears of the left are a plot of the devil, and two, to reject them and speak the truth.
We must boldly declare that men are men and women are women. That babies are worth living, regardless of their age or the circumstances surrounding their pregnancy. that all People deserve equal dignity as bearers of God's image. And perhaps most importantly, these statements do not make us homophobes, racists, white supremacists, Christian nationalists, or even far-right extremists. . They make us truth tellers.
