A new survey finds that a majority of Greenlandic respondents support joining the United States.
According to Patriot Polling poll A statement released on Sunday found that 57.3% of respondents supported Greenland becoming part of the United States, but only 37.4% opposed a possible takeover and 5.3% were undecided about relocation. It's staying.
President-elect Trump has floated the idea of acquiring Greenland, a Danish colony, in recent days. He said it was “absolutely necessary” to own Greenland.
The survey, which only looked at 416 people in Greenland, is the first of its kind, but it shows support for President Trump's larger international plans.

The study notes it is the first time the organization has conducted a poll outside the United States, which was also conducted during a visit by the president-elect's son, Donald Trump Jr.
President Trump has repeatedly stated his desire to purchase Greenland, as it has been strategically important to the United States since at least the Cold War.
Observers have largely dismissed the idea that the United States could realistically acquire Greenland. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has stressed that Greenland is not for sale as the next president continues to talk about a takeover.
