An illegal immigrant from Honduras is facing criminal charges for allegedly assaulting a 13-year-old girl at a Florida park this month.
The boy was attacked near Ockheely Park on January 2nd. WPTV reported.
At the time, the suspect was described as a Hispanic man between 30 and 40 who did not speak English.

Detectives tracked and arrested Santo Martinez-Barrera on January 11, and later confirmed his identity through a DNA warrant, the department said.
Barrera illegally crossed the Mexican border from Honduras to West Palm Beach in 2023 without contacting law enforcement, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post. .

Barrera was being held without bail in the Palm Beach County Jail on charges of kidnapping and sexual assault and appeared before a judge Sunday, according to online records.
