64-year-old female paid boys to shovel snow, got them drunk, attempted to inappropriately touch one of them: Police

A 64-year-old Pennsylvania woman is accused of getting two young boys drunk who came to her house to shovel snow for money and attempting to sexually assault one of them, police said. .

Two boys, ages 12 and 13, were reportedly asking people in a Pittsburgh neighborhood if they could shovel snow from sidewalks and driveways for money. Police said the boys offered to shovel snow in front of Rochelle Stewart's home on January 8. Stewart allegedly agreed to pay the boys $5 for the job.

In a criminal complaint obtained by KDKA-TVThe boys told investigators that Stewart invited them inside the house for hot chocolate. But police said Stewart offered the boys alcohol, which they drank. One of the boys reportedly told detectives that he was “drunk.''

According to the criminal complaint, Stewart sat next to the intoxicated boy, put his foot on top of him and attempted to touch him in an inappropriate and sexual manner. One of the boys recorded video of Stewart rubbing the victim's arms and shoulders, according to the criminal complaint.

The boys told police they then left Stewart's house, but one of them realized Stewart had left his coat at home and had to return.

Stewart reportedly called police around 9 p.m. that night to report a robbery in progress. law and crime. Police said they attempted to contact the 911 caller but were unable to reach him.

When police arrived, the boys were found and reportedly appeared to be highly intoxicated.

Police wrote in a criminal complaint that the boys were “screaming incoherently and saying that the woman was inebriated and groping them.”

Officers separated the boys for individual questioning and said the children gave similar accounts of what happened, according to court documents.

Police determined Stewart was “extremely intoxicated,” according to court documents. Stewart reportedly told police that children in the neighborhood were “playing tricks” on her and that she was a “drug dealer.” people magazine.

When questioned by police, Stewart reportedly denied that the boys had entered her home. Police found the boy's coat and a half-empty vodka bottle inside Stewart's home, according to the complaint.

Stewart was arrested and booked into the Allegheny County Jail. Stewart was charged with six misdemeanor counts. The charges include one count of lewd conduct, one count of making a false police report, two counts of providing alcohol to a minor, and two counts of corruption of minors. Stewart was released Thursday after posting $1,000 bail, according to court records.

Stewart is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on January 22nd.
