AOC mocked for hysterical rant defending trans athletes in girls’ sports: ‘Trans girls are girls!’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (New York) is once again the subject of a viral roast campaign after her rant on the House floor on Tuesday.

Ocasio-Cortez spoke out against protections for women and girls in sports laws in a fiery two-minute speech that included falsehoods and unsubstantiated claims. Her speech ended with the unexplained claim that “CEOs love this bill” in reference to the ongoing California wildfires.

The bill ultimately passed, with all 216 House Republicans voting in favor and just two Democrats, sending it to the Senate. Meanwhile, 206 Democratic members of Congress, including Ocasio-Cortez, voted against the bill.

Ocasio-Cortez began the discussion by citing Republicans' history of voting against the Violence Against Women Act and patently false claims related to their position on abortion rights.

“Republicans who have consistently voted against acts of violence against women have taken away every woman's right to choose and control her own body, and are standing there while women bleed in parking lots across the country. They want to stand there and pretend they care about women today, even though we're going to die!'' Ocasio-Cortez said.

Abortion is currently protected by state law in 21 states and the District of Columbia, and President-elect Trump has repeatedly insisted under his administration that abortion rights will be left to each state.

Ocasio-Cortez was also one of many Democrats who promoted baseless claims that the law would expose young girls to sex offenders.

“And why? In the name of attacking so-called transgender girls, exposing little girls in this country to gender, and yes, genital testing!” Ocasio-Cortez continued.

Nowhere in the bill does it say that girls and women would be subject to genital examinations in order to participate in sports. But Ocasio-Cortez, along with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and other Democrats who oppose it, have cited that possibility as the biggest argument against the law.

“Right now, the majority says nothing in this bill says it would open the door to genital examinations. Well, the problem is, there is no enforcement mechanism in this bill. Without a mechanism, we would be open to all forms of coercive force.'' ” Ocasio-Cortez said.

This bill would require federally funded educational programs or activities to operate, sponsor, or promote athletic programs or activities that allow individuals of the male sex to participate in programs or activities that: It states that it is a violation of Title IX of the Education Amendments. Designated for women or girls.

Under this bill, Gender is based on an individual's reproductive biology and genetics at birth.

Ocasio-Cortez has consistently advocated for transgender inclusion in women's sports, and previously used the word “predatory” to describe those who oppose it. In November, Ocasio-Cortez reshared a video of Green Party vice presidential candidate Butch Ware speaking out against transgender participation in women's sports, saying, “This ticket is predatory. People deserve better,” she captioned it.

And now, even as many in her party and in the liberal media publicly deny support for transgender inclusion, Ocasio-Cortez's position on what it means to be a woman and girl is Not wavering.

“Transgender girls are girls!” Ocasio-Cortez said during Tuesday's hearing.

Ocasio-Cortez then began writing a series of disjointed and unfinished texts on the issue.

“And to all of you who are so concerned, thank you for worrying about the first woman I've ever seen. I don't know about you guys. I don't know who went to gym class these days, but… But girls, even if you believe there are only two genders, I've always played co-ed sports!'' she said before moving on to another point.

Ocasio-Cortez's next talking point was to warn that the bill could lead to an evaluation of traditional femininity.

“This is also about women trying to perform a very particular kind of femininity to the very kinds of men who are drafting this bill, and who a woman is because of how she looks. “It opens the door to questioning how we present ourselves and, yes, what we choose to do with our bodies,” she says. I did.

This bill makes no reference to how biological women dress, how they present themselves, or any underlying anatomical or physical decisions.

Ocasio-Cortez ended her speech by claiming that the bill was “beloved” by “bigots” and “attackers” before discussing CEOs' mysterious connection to the California wildfires. .

“Bigots love this bill. Rogues love this bill, CEOs love this bill. Because Los Angeles is on fire right now, and this is the most important thing that most people have. Because it's a priority,” she said before leaving the stage.

Ocasio-Cortez came under heavy criticism on social media for her rant late Tuesday.

Ocasio-Cortez previously co-sponsored the Equality Act of 2019, which would “require public schools to place biologically male athletes who identify as transgender on women's sports teams.” “Forcing them to participate.”

In March 2023, Democrats, including Ocasio-Cortez, advocated for a transgender bill of rights, proposing: solution “Recognizes the obligation of the federal government to develop and implement a transgender bill of rights.”

But the issue of blocking transgender inclusion is now a bipartisan priority, with Republicans and Mr. Trump taking the lead.
