California dreaming gets a wake-up call

We don't ask enough questions. Or maybe you're not asking the right questions. Our media certainly doesn't, but neither do we personally.

And this is bad because we are being deceived. a lot.

If California elects good people, the insurance crisis could be alleviated. But that's a huge “if”.

Of course, some of us always question the prevailing narrative. And some of us have recently woken up ( The lies about the new coronavirus were truly eye-opening. for many).

Unfortunately, some people never wake up. Their minds and hearts are clearly too deeply wounded to understand the truth.

Finally, some may still wake up. Let's call them “Dawn Men” in the hope that the truth will dawn on them. And this is directed at them. Especially the people of once beautiful California.

it's not climate change

I subscribe to several newsletters from established doctors and health advocates. One of them is definitely the “Man of the Dawn.” Because she's already woken up to some really big themes.

This week, she wrote about how she was forced to evacuate her hillside home in LA in the disaster that (as of this writing) claimed thousands of homes and at least 10 lives. I was saddened to read the story of her fearful escape from the flames while stuck in traffic that forced others to abandon their cars and flee on foot.

However, in concluding her story, she added the following comment:

We know that extreme weather events are a natural part of ecosystems, but the disasters we are witnessing do not seem to indicate that our planet's complex natural systems are out of balance. I can't stay. We are ruthlessly extracting and polluting the earth, with delusions about how long this pace of extraction will continue.

Well… no.

So, yes, extreme weather is a natural part of the ecosystem. However, this disaster is not caused by Earth's systems not working properly. It also has nothing to do with anything being extracted from the earth or polluting it. Despite Gov. Gavin Newsom's (D) statements, this tragedy had nothing to do with “climate change” and was completely predictable. Strong winds and dry conditions were predicted days before Democratic Mayor Karen Bass left for Africa.

So I responded to the doctor's newsletter, but it goes to her team so it's highly unlikely she'll see it. Below are some of the things I shared with her.

I hope that the government officials who caused this disaster will be held accountable. It's a perfect storm of government malfeasance.

  • failed to properly manage forests (the government did not allow record amounts of forest fuel to be cleaned);
  • Failed to provide water properly (the reservoir that people voted for years ago has not yet been started, and others are closed).
  • the failure to deal with the epidemic of homelessness (it's shocking how many fires occur in homeless camps);
  • All of these efforts did not prioritize merit when hiring leaders (in fact, the L.A. Fire Chief was likely selected because of his focus on hiring DEI).
  • Failed to retain qualified firefighters who were fired for refusing to take the coronavirus vaccine. and
  • Failed to adequately fund Los Angeles' firefighting efforts (state and local governments had cut more than $100 million the previous year).

Failure, failure, and failure all lead to this devastating dumpster fire, and to be perfectly honest, a mess caused by left-wing policies.

It is heartbreaking to see a beautiful community like Pacific Palisades destroyed. But it's important to put the blame where it belongs, and it's not on a crazy planetary system, it's on a crazy planetary system created by a real leadership class that doesn't need to be voted in, as is abundantly clear now. The reason lies in the policy.

A disaster of unfathomable scale

Here in Texas, we occasionally see house fires caused by lightning strikes. This happened in my neighborhood a few years ago and the house burned down. It took a full year for the family to move back into the neighborhood and rebuild so they could resume normal life.

Multiply that by thousands of homes, plus schools, churches, stores, banks, restaurants, and post offices. How can the Palisades and other hard-hit communities realistically rebuild?

We've been talking a lot for over a year. We're talking about how things may never be the same. We're talking about thousands of families who won't get “back to normal” for a very long time. At the very least, you won't be able to return to the comfortable life you once lived in a beautiful community. That's all for now.

For those affected, this is a disaster of a scale that we cannot even imagine.

why?

as Blaze TV host allie beth stuckey People often say, “Politics matters because people matter, and policies matter.'' Elections are important in California, too.

In this vein, note another failure.

Avoidable insurance crisis

Much has been said recently about insurance companies “mysteriously” mass canceling fire insurance policies in California. it's not a mystery at all. The Democrats in charge have consistently implemented policies (see bullet points above) that are bound to result in exactly what is happening now.

The insurance companies, not being fools at all, recognized the risk and, as expected, recognized that such an event was imminent and withdrew the insurance. After all, they manage risk for their insured customers and businesses based on mathematical probabilities.

If California elects good people, the insurance crisis could be alleviated. But that's a huge “what if”.

The physician newsletter cited above continues to speculate about how we can perhaps build something better from the ashes, something that is healthier for humans and the planet. I told her that I shared that desire, but that achieving it would require very different leadership.

To the residents of Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and everywhere else currently struggling with this special crisis, our hearts are with you. We pray that these fires will eventually be extinguished. I pray that your personal life will be rebuilt as quickly and painlessly as possible. I wish you wisdom and strength as you navigate what will no doubt be a difficult path back to normalcy.

With all due respect, Californians who may be beginning to see that dawn of which we are speaking, please consider how your vote contributed to this disaster. I would like to.

In other words, we pray that you wake up.
