A 15-year-old boy and two other people were shot and killed in two shootings in Brooklyn on Tuesday night, including a masked man who opened fire inside a deli, police and law enforcement officials said. The gunman was also included.
The boy was struck in the left ankle during a shooting along Chauncey Street in the Stuyvesant Heights neighborhood around 7 p.m., police and officials said.
The man was taken to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition, authorities said.
Investigators were later informed that a 32-year-old woman had entered the same hospital with a gunshot wound to the right side of her chest, police said. Her condition is also listed as stable.
Based on preliminary information, authorities believe the woman was an innocent bystander, but the teenage boy was targeted, officials said.
No arrests have been made.
More than two hours later, at about 9:20 p.m., a 28-year-old man was shot and killed when a gunman pulled the trigger inside a deli at 1742 Pitkin Ave. in Brownsville, police and sources said. I was injured.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg and was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition, the NYPD said.
Authorities are searching for a man wearing an orange winter jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, light blue jeans and a black face mask, police said.
It was not immediately clear whether the shooting was targeted.
