Louisiana Governor To Fly MAGA Flag On Inauguration Day

Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry announced that he will fly a “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) flag at his mansion, just as he did on President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration day.

Landry (R-Louisiana) made the announcement on social media on Friday.

“Breaking News: Governor Landry will raise the Make America Great Again flag at the Louisiana Governor's Mansion on January 20th in honor of President Donald J. Trump's inauguration,” the governor wrote.

In his post, Landry urges others to join him in flying the MAGA flag on Monday.

The announcement comes despite Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) ordering flags to be lowered to half-staff in memory of President Joe Biden. This was done after the announcement was made. President Jimmy Carter.

“On January 20thththe Capitol flag flies at full staff to celebrate our nation united behind the inauguration of the 47 United States.th Mr. President, Donald Trump,” Johnson wrote on the X Post.

“The flag will be returned to half-staff the next day to continue honoring President Jimmy Carter.”
