On Friday's broadcast of Fox Business Network's “Berney & Co.,” Mike Huckabee, who has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be the U.S. ambassador to Israel, said the responsibility for rebuilding Gaza is “to screw this up.” It is the responsibility of those who did it.” And it was Hamas, funded by Iranians. He argued that if Iran and Hamas have enough money to build weapons and tunnels, they should also have money to rebuild and support civilians.
Huckabee said: “Gaza is in chaos because of Hamas. And Hamas did what they did for Iran and had the money to do it. So if someone were to rebuild it. It should be the Iranians, if they have enough to make rockets, bombs and missiles. If you have enough money, you'll probably have enough money to rebuild buildings and houses instead of building tunnels to hide weapons or violating every code of human behavior. The money could be used to feed people, give them a place to stay, and provide them with medical care.”
Huckabee said: “But it's the fault of the people who messed this up, and that was Hamas, which was funded by the Iranians. Let's never forget why Gaza is hell right now. ”
