College football star Ashton Giunty will likely be the first running back taken in the NFL Draft this spring.
The big question will be where Genty lands. Some mock drafts had projected the running back to go to the Dallas Cowboys, but he said earlier this month that it would be a dream come true for the Frisco, Texas, high school football player.
The Cowboys have been in the spotlight this past week after parting ways with Mike McCarthy as head coach, with rumors flying about Deion Sanders potentially leaving Colorado to lead Dallas.

“I think it would be a really great opportunity,” Gianti said. “Coach Prime is great at giving players opportunities and making the most of their abilities. He's like Travis Hunter, who plays it both ways. Most coaches don't do that. I think he's great in this position.”
Speaking to FOX News Digital on behalf of his partnership with SAXX, Giunty also praised Sanders for being a “man of faith.”
“Obviously, I'm a man of faith. He's a man of faith. It's great that my former head coach is a man of faith. He has great relationships with his players off the field as well. I can see it on the field.

“So, to be honest, it makes me feel right at home. I'm not going to say too much, but Dallas, they always have good running backs and when they have good running backs. They play much better.”
If Giunty isn't selected by the time the No. 12 pick rolls around, Dallas may be the only team to take a running back early in the first round.
Giunty was the Heisman Trophy runner-up behind Hunter in his final college season. He ran for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns for the Broncos.
