Trump vows to put US astronauts on Mars: ‘Pursue our manifest destiny’

President Trump vowed Monday to become the first commander-in-chief to send American astronauts to Mars.

In his inaugural address in Washington, D.C., President Trump said, “America once again sees itself as a growing nation, a nation growing in wealth, expanding territory, building cities, raising expectations, and raising our flag on beautiful new horizons.'' I'll think about it,'' he declared.
