Royals plan to visit President Donald Trump in 2026 in hopes of reinforcing a ‘special relationship’: report

King Charles, Queen Camilla and other senior members of the royal family are preparing to visit US President Donald Trump in a bid to strengthen ties, according to reports.

Plans for a foreign visit by senior members of the royal family are reportedly being discussed in Downing Street. times. Talks are at a very early stage, but plans are for the visit to take place in 2026, the newspaper reported.

“Donald Trump has a clear affinity for the royal family,” a senior British government official told the program. “He had a great relationship with the late Queen and recently met Prince William and spoke highly of King Charles. A royal tour to the US will help strengthen the 'special relationship'.”

Representatives for Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's requests for comment.

The relationship between President Trump and King Charles goes back a long way.

A spokesperson said the message reflected the “enduring special relationship between the UK and the US”.

Trump has often supported the monarchy, previously calling King Charles a “wonderful man.”

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who posted a video message of congratulations to President Trump on Monday, also said he looked forward to taking their “partnership” to the next level.

Starmer, who met with President Trump in September, said: “For centuries, our relationship has been one of co-operation, co-operation and an enduring partnership. This is a uniquely close bond.”

In December, President Trump had a “great meeting” with Prince William during a visit to Paris.
