Elon Musk Claim’s Trump’s AI Stargate Project Doesn’t ‘Have the Money’

Elon Musk throws cold water on President Donald Trump's AI Stargate project, claiming billionaire investors in projects with OpenAI “don't actually have the money” Ta.

“They don't actually have the money,” Musk said of the billionaire investors in Tuesday's X-Post, responding to OpenAI's X-Post announcing the Stargate project.

In its post, OpenAI announced The Stargate Project as a “new company that plans to invest $500 billion over the next four years to build new AI infrastructure for OpenAI in the United States.”

“We will immediately begin deploying $100 billion,” OpenAI said. “This infrastructure will secure U.S. leadership in AI, create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the United States, and deliver significant economic benefits to the entire world.”

“This project will not only support the re-industrialization of the United States, but will also provide strategic capabilities to protect the national security of the United States and its allies,” the AI company continued.

OpenAI also said its “early capital funders” include SoftBank, OpenAI, Oracle, and MGX, and that Arm, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Oracle, and OpenAI are “key early technology partners.”

“We all look forward to continuing to build and develop AI, and AGI in particular, for the benefit of all humanity,” OpenAI said. “We believe this new step is critical on this path and will help creative people understand how AI can be used to improve humanity.”

On Tuesday, President Trump announced the project at the White House along with SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison.

“SoftBank has well under $10 billion in funding,” Musk added in a follow-up post after investors claimed they “actually don't have the funds.”

On Wednesday, CNBC News told Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, “Elon Musk said on Twitter, 'They don't have any money.'” Money doesn't exist,' as if that never really happened. ”

“What do you think about that?” asked CNBC News, to which Nadella replied, “Look, all I know is that $80 billion is okay.”
