Democratic strategist James Carville hopes former President Joe Biden can help the party by getting out of the way because “nobody wants to listen” anymore.
“Well, this is kind of the truth of where we are,” Carville said. His “Politics War Room” podcast Wednesday co-host Al Hunt. “We all know Biden. In fact, you and I both know him personally. And we've all been admirers of Joe Biden on some level for many years. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say, I don't want anyone to do what he did to me.'' I'm not going to listen to this guy anymore, okay? ”
He added, “Go to your condo in Rehoboth and stay there. And it's not because we're bad people or we're mean people. It's all his doing, it's all his doing, all of this. ” he added.

Mr. Carville rejected Mr. Biden's early withdrawal from the 2024 race and criticized recent claims that Mr. Biden could have defeated President Donald Trump if he had stayed.
“And then there was this little back-and-forth where it was like, 'Oh, I could beat Trump,' and no one believed that at all. And then you got into a fight with Jill Biden and Alexandra Pelosi.” he said, referring to a phone call from Nancy Pelosi's daughter. The former first lady was accused of attacking her mother's role in Biden and ultimately resigned.
The former adviser to Bill Clinton went on to call Biden “one of the most tragic stories in American politics in my lifetime,” but added that his future role would be negative.

“Look, dude, you've had a noble career. Your last act was terrible. Get out of the way. The party's moved on. I mean, they really are. It's very sad, but that's what we're going for.'' He built this himself. There was no one to blame but him,” Carville said.
Mr. Carville has been a vocal critic of Mr. Biden for not withdrawing from the race sooner, even suggesting that Mr. Biden would have helped the Democratic Party win if he had withdrawn from the race.
“But the other scenario is, if he had said he wasn't running in September or August of 2023…we would have won this election,” Carville said last month. “And it wouldn’t have been that close because there were so many talented people running.”

Carville added, “And he'll be sitting here now, cheering and ready to go. There's going to be a naming committee to decide what to name him. will be the toast of Washington,” he added.
