If confirmed, Noem, 53, will lead an agency tasked with overseeing multiple agencies, including U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. Secret Intelligence Service.

The Senate is scheduled to reconvene Saturday morning to vote on Noem's confirmation at 11:30 a.m., followed by an early vote on Scott Bessent, Trump's nominee for Treasury secretary.
The vote to confirm Bessent will take place on Monday at 5:30 p.m., followed by a vote to advance the nomination of Sean Duffy, the nominee for transportation secretary.
Duffy's confirmation vote is scheduled for Tuesday at 12 p.m.
