Woman stabbed to death in domestic dispute in NYC — with her son being taken into custody as person of interest: cops

A woman was fatally stabbed in Brooklyn during a domestic dispute. And her son was taken into custody as a person of interest in the murder, police and sources said.

A neighbor who heard the victim's screams and raced to the victim was able to grab the attacker and hold him until authorities arrived at 333 E. 92nd St. in East Flatbush.

The deadly incident unfolded around 11:40 p.m., when residents of the seven-story building heard a woman screaming for help.

“I just heard a loud scream. A woman screaming, 'Help!'” said the 28-year-old resident, who asked to remain anonymous. “Then I heard a faint groaning sound.”

Police responded to 911 and located the victim before taking his son into custody, according to authorities and sources.

A good Samaritan said he saw another man holding back a stab wound and ran in to render aid.

“I went straight for the knife,” he said. “It was a kitchen knife, a steak knife. The blade was 7 to 8 inches long…I grabbed the blade. I endured it. He tried to pull it away. It hit my finger. I sliced ​​it.”

The victim has not been publicly identified and no arrests have been made.
