People Celebrating UnitedHealth CEO’s Shooting Also Push Gun Control, Complain About Microaggressions

During his final monologue on Friday's broadcast of HBO's “Real Time,” host Bill Maher discussed those who praised the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, saying, “I don't want liberals to express their opinions. “It wasn't that long ago that people thought about shooting people who didn't share their beliefs.” There was bad politics, or at least microaggressions. ” I also wondered, “What will happen to gun control?”

Maher also talked about how people on the left were angry when Sarah Palin held up a map with crosshairs marking the districts of House Democrats they wanted to vote out of office in 2010. “But right now, it's okay to be cautious when it comes to myself,'' he said. Do you want to die? ”

Maher said: “And I'm here again, feeling like an old-school liberal confronting the new politics of the far left, because it's bad for liberals to shoot people who don't sympathize with their politics. Because it wasn't that long ago that we thought it was, or at least a microaggression.Isn't pumping someone with a lead blockage dangerously close to mansplaining? What about gun control?”

He added: “Liberals were outraged when Sarah Palin posted a map with crosshairs in the districts of House Democrats they wanted to lose in 2010. Is it safe to be on guard? And where does this all lead? Do both sides have a squad?
