Massena (AP), New York -Six families, including three children, died after a quick fire running through a house in northern New York.
The strong wind burned a single -family house in Massena, a northern border with Canada, near the St. Rolence River, around 10:00 pm on Monday.
State and county firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire and believing that they started in the kitchen.
The family has identified the casualties as Diana Avrey, Thomas Bohen, Tiara Boen, Joshha Boen, 14, Eri Boen, 9, and Kalman Boen (6). It was his brother.
“My brother was all merchants, and his wife was the guardian of the children,” said Joseph Boen in an interview on Thursday. “They loved camping. They loved going to the beach and loved playing with water.”
The family of the statement thanked the support of community members, including emergency respondents and the St. Regism Hawks.
