GEN Z women have been able to travel around the world by hiring 30 “Micro retirement” in three years, and have become “better employees.”
Nursery worker 21 -year -old Lauren Kirby has saved more than $ 12,500 to travel to 30 countries since he started working at 18 years old.
So far, she has visited Portugal, Mexico, Estonia and the United States and has lived in Australia for six months since March 2024.
She says that these “small retirement” improved her in her job -she can pick up childcare techniques from various cultures, such as taking children for all seasonal walks. Because it is.
And except for her work, Lauren says, “I changed her as a person.”
Fine retirement is a trend of Tactoku, and I see ZZ workers taking regular breaks from my career.
Lauren from Kent's maid stone states:
“If the elderly generation reaches their retirement age, all traveling will work, but it sounds very morbid, but I don't know if it will arrive there.
“When I was 16 years old, I was too shy to order my food. I retired from a 18 -year -old work and returned to a completely different person.
“Now, I'm attacking 30 countries, and I'm working in other countries in my own way.”
At the age of 18, after seeing the advertisement of Tactoku's childcare representative, she decided to go for it and flew to Greece Colf for three months.
TUI, a travel agency, paid for Lauren accommodation, flights, food and invoices, and paid the minimum wage of $ 988 per month.
Lauren could save $ 3,130 and use it to provide money to travel to Portugal, Finland and Mexico.
In 2023, Lauren worked part -time in a nursery school near Kent, and since then he has saved long weekends and annual vacations to travel in 26 countries.
She flew to the east coast of Australia in March 2024 and stayed until September.
“I did one of those working holiday visas,” Lauren added.
“I went outside, worked for the first five months at the resort, and then traveled for one month.
“With the money I earned, I just quit -I saw all the highlights on the east coast, such as Sydney and Bylonbay.
“While I was working, I lived comprehensively in Bills, a stock of $ 175 a week.”
Lauren says he was inspired by the COVID blockade “quickly” to shut down “quickly” and then retire.
She feared that she might not be able to go abroad again when the border was closed. And I still think, “Things can change in a blink of an eye.”
“I was very lucky to be able to lose everyone during Cobid,” she said.
“But in that situation, I looked at how fast things change in the blink of eyes.
“Currently, I have a lot of knowledge of temporarily traveling abroad, and the younger generation uses this.”
Nursery school workers say that traveling very much has benefited her role.
In Australia, she was taught to take the children to take the children for 30 minutes in all weather. And she encourages the British class to do this.
And she has encouraged her trip to the beach early in the morning in order to start a child's day in a “positive way”.
Lauren says: “In Australia, children are always out of the corner.
“They get up early and start the day by Beach Run or Walk.
“The kids were always outside, regardless of the weather, even in 30 minutes.
“In the UK, there is a temptation to avoid this, and we are thinking about how much rain it is, and that we have to wear all children's boots.
“But it still feels better when they go out and play.”
Lauren's journey has made her a more balanced person -she is more confident.
At the age of 16, she was too shy to order her food, but she blossomed for adults who could live around the world in six months.
She is worried that “Micro retirement” is a negligible ZY.
“I didn't think I could live alone on the other side of the world,” she said.
“Micro retirement has changed my life.”
