Parris Campbell-Saquon Barkley special bond making Eagles run sweeter

NEW ORLEANS – According to Paris Campbell, there were “multiple moments of the year.”

Campbell, the rarely used Eagles wide receiver, and the often used Eagles Saquon Barkley, have a bond developed during the previous year they spent with the Giants in 2023.

It wasn't a great season for either of them, and they joined again in Philadelphia in 2024.

One “moment” was born after the Eagles overwhelmed the commander in the NFC Championship Game two weeks ago.

“We were sitting in the locker room, we hugged each other and hugged each other,” Campbell told the Post. “It's cool because me and he have come so close over the last two years. Our family is like family and we hang out all the time. I see both of us coming from the same place. It was a really cool moment.

Campbell spent his first four NFL seasons with the Colts, signing with the Giants, catching only 20 passes for 104 yards in 2023.

He signed a one-year deal with the Eagles, and most sat and watched.

In five games, he had six receptions and one touchdown for 60 yards.

The Philadelphia Eagles returned Saquon Berkley to the left and back to the left, with Eagles wide receiver Paris Campbell (80) on Sunday in December with a touchdown that Berkley ran in the second half of the NFL football game. As they watch, they are attacked by the center as Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey (80) is watching. . AP

The night before the Eagles travelled a big easy trip to prepare for the week's Super Bowl,

Berkley and his fiance went out for dinner with Campbell and his wife. They ate at DePaul's Table Steakhouse in Ardmore, Pennsylvania.

“We enjoyed the moment,” Campbell said. “The four of us just wander around, enjoying each other's time and presence.”

Mahomes: Mets have a championship look

Patrick Mahomes is the owner of a small number of Kansas City Royals franchises, but has not slept with the Mets.

He's a big baseball fan when Mahomes isn't busy winning the Super Bowl with the Chiefs.

Of course, his father pitched for the Mets in 1999 and 2000, instilling his love for the game with two MVP quarterbacks.

Mahomes was among the crowds at Kaufman Stadium for the Yankees Royals Playoff Series in October.

Juan Soto was huge in that series, so could he lead Mets into the World Series?

“I think they have a good opportunity,” Mahomes said. “They have a good team. They had a great year last year. To get those guys [Pete Alonso] Go back, add Soto and I'm sure they have something else to compete for the championship. I'm excited about baseball this year. There are a lot of big movements going on. Hopefully my royal family can also argue for themselves. ”

Are the Chiefs number one public enemy?

Former Patriot receiver Julian Edelman, now a Fox broadcaster, was asked if he feels like the Chief, as he always wins like New England.

“I think I was the villain against New England,” Edelman said. “By the way I got there, they had three Super Bowls, so they were already seen like that. In 2014, if you got one of the first second generations [of Super Bowl runs]that's when you really knew people hated us.”
