The FBI has reportedly discovered 2,400 new records regarding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy following the order that President Trump releases secret files.
These documents contain approximately 14,000 pages worth of material that the disclosure committee was to review but never saw. Axios reported on Monday.
The White House learned about unprecedented documents on Friday as the Director of the National Intelligence Office presented plans to disclose the remaining documents.
“This is huge. Jefferson Morley, vice president of the Mary Ferrell Foundation, which holds the largest online record of JFK assassination records, said:
“The FBI is finally saying, 'Let's respond to the president's orders.' Rather than maintaining a secret,” he added.
Trump ordered the release of all files from Kennedy's 1963 assassination. This has been plagued by decades of conspiracy theory.
This is a broken story. Please check for updates.
