Thousands of people signed petitions in support of the “Denmarkisation” petition to buy California from the United States, and at the same time transformed Disneyland into “Hans Christian Andersenland.”

“I've never looked at the map and thought, 'Do you know what Denmark needs? More sunlight, palm trees, roller skating.' Well, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make that dream a reality,” the campaign website reads. “Buy California from Donald Trump!”

The petition has come in response to President Donald Trump's repeated interest in creating Greenland, a Danish territory that is part of the United States in January. US national security.
Greenland leader Múte B. Egede rejected Trump's interest by saying that his people didn't want to be Americans. Danish Prime Minister Mette Fredericksen slapped Trump's stash against Greenland last month.
“On the other hand, I am pleased with the growing interest in America in Greenland,” Fredericksen said in an interview with Danish Broadcasting Station TV 2 on Tuesday. “Decision, what will their future be like?”
The petition author noted that Trump may be open to bringing California to Denmark, given the political gap between California leaders and the White House.

“Try to be honest – Trump isn't California's biggest fan. He called it “the most devastated nation in the union,” and has been refuting it with its leader for many years,” the petition states. “We're sure he's willing to let it go at the right price.”
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House and California Gov. Gavin Newsom's offices for comment.
The petition's crowdfunding goal is $1 trillion. “Give me billions or take it.”
The petition states five major incentives Denmark supports its plan: California Technology Sector, Avocado Toast, and the protection of Freeworld and Disneyland, renamed “Han Christian Andersenland.”
“Mickey Mouse in the Viking Helmet? Yes, please,” reads the petition.

If California becomes another territory of Denmark, the capital could be changed from Sacramento to Solvan, known as the “Danish capital of America.” The city was founded in 1911 by Danish immigrants and is home to Danish style architecture.
It is also home to the Elverhodzi Historical Museum, which explores the city's Danish heritage.
