MSNBC host Joy Reid claimed on Thursday in a “laid-out” that if President Donald Trump said he was selling the US to Russia, all Republicans would line up.
House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-ny), said, “To the heart and soul of Republican bait and switch. First of all, they promised the American people that they would take away their high cost of living. They lie. Second, their true goal is to enact a massive tax cut for billionaires donors and wealthy businesses at the heart of this budget proposal.”
Reed said: “If you already admit that Republicans are not in charge, or that you or Congress are not in charge of spending money, what is the point of passing the budget? Elon Musk is. If the budget is really an Elon Musk decision, what is the point of passing the budget?”
She added: There's nothing. If Donald Trump personally sells to Vladimir Putin tomorrow and we announce that we will own the Kremlin, all Republicans will announce that they say yes, sir, and vote for it. We have already seen their actions. We stopped thinking that most of us stopped expecting to behave differently from them.
