Joe Gebvia, a MIT-educated Tesla board member with a design, entrepreneurship and business background, says Elon Musk and Doge's organization eradicate wasteful spending and misuse of the federal workforce He joined the Trump administration to support the government.

In addition to being Musk's best friend, Gebbia is the co-founder of the popular travel app Airbnb.
Gebvia reportedly arrived at the HR headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Friday morning. He's ready to start his new job.
But that still remains a mystery about Gebvia's specific role in Doge. He will become the latest tech billionaire who has a practical role in implementing positive change in the new Trump administration.
This move also happens as other major CEOs have tried to strengthen their relationship with 47.th Presidents such as Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Open CEO Sam Altman.
Before his new role in Doge, Gebvia created a startup just called SamaraDevelop a high-end, small home adus for properties. An accessory housing (ADU) is a residential unit that can be installed or detached from a major residence.
Nevertheless, Gebvier has donated to past Democratic candidates, including Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020 and 2023. Despite past support for the Democrats, Gebvia announced in January that he had voted for Trump. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) told his supporters to vote for Trump after he dropped out of the 2024 election.
In X, Gibbet repeatedly praised Doge's work. They say criticism of the newly-founded organization is “unbelievable.”
