Karl-Anthony Towns talks to The Post about his life as a Knick

Oakland, California — Karl Anthony Towns wants them to decide whether this is his best NBA season or not.

There's certainly been a debate as the 29-year-old prepares for his first All-Star start on Sunday, while posting his career best with a rebound and a 3-point percentage.

The town acknowledges that he is different from the early days of his career.

And in this Knicks system with All-Star teammate Jalen Brunson, the difference in town has led to the NBA's No. 2 attack and the franchise's most victory before the all-star break since 1973.

“I don't know if I'm a flyer that's as expensive as my second or third year,” Towns said in an interview with the post. “But this year I'm definitely playing at this speed this year than the rest.”

Like the game slows down?

“I just got the right feeling,” Towns said. “Experience teaches a lot.”

Experience points have accumulated abundantly over the past three months, and the town was amazed at the trade from the only pro franchise they knew on the eve of training camp.

There was a question mark hovering over the movement, and there was doubt about restructuring the Knicks' roster, which appears to be on a trajectory of encouragement before trade.

However, the fit is better than I imagined. Towns coming out of consecutive games with over 40 points are scored and promoted. He's grabbing the rebound.

He rules over the defensive glass and dispels those “he's too soft” critiques while playing with injuries.

“Of course you always want to get better,” the town said. “But I'm happy that I was able to implement myself on the team and it brought me victory. You guys have since, and have been an All-Star break. He told me the statistic that he had the best records to come in. [the franchise’s last championship season in 1973]. Hopefully history will match it and bring it. ”

Breaking the drought of a more than 50-year championship is still like a long shot, at least as the Celtics are still roaming the Eastern Conference.

New York's defense needs improvements, and two blown defeats to Boston didn't work out on a potential playoff series.

The town, which is geared up for his fifth All-Star look, has not overly analyzed these regular-season losses.

In February and April, there will be two more heads to the Celtics.

“When I looked back at those games, they were as ugly as hell,” Towns said. “And as I look to the future, I hope they aren't that ugh.”

The easiest path to improving defense is the addition of Mitchell Robinson, who is returning from an expanded ankle and surgery recovery.

The Towns, which was part of Minnesota's number one defense last season, is sure the Knicks will reach another level.

“It's a level I've seen before in Minnesota and I think there's the work and the talent to do that,” he said.

Off the court, the Towns fit was also seamless. That part was more presumed for the central jersey products.

His grandmother can now participate in his home game. His father is committed to traveling to the Every Away Contest, a long-standing tradition of Carl Sr., who skips commercials while watching NBA cities and watching his son.

“He definitely made it a commitment and I'm blessed with a father who loves my son very much,” Towns said. “I know a lot of people, especially the people of my friends and people, but they didn't have that luxury. So the father who is committed to his son loves his son and he is the one who loves these trips I love you enough to cheer me up with all my efforts, I don't underestimate it. I have friends and companions so I have the opportunity to be very lucky every day. I really hope that.”

Towns still appreciates the NYC staple, a physical tabloid that has recently posed on the New York Post backpage in a photo posted by his girlfriend Jordyn Woods.

“My dad was like, 'Oh, you're in a New York post.' The town said. “I like hard copying more than the web version.”

He also likes to be a teammate with Branson, whom the town has postponed as captain since arriving from that stunning trade.

“I didn't distract myself, disrupt the flow, go on ego trips, etc. It's about the team. And I started amplifying them, amplifying the caps.” Towns said. “You can't win a championship yourself, you need everyone. And we're willing to sacrifice the big picture, look at the big picture, do what it takes to win a city every night. I'm happy to have a team full of people.
