Polish leader says united European army 'will not happen'

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorsky said the Unified European Army “doesn't happen.”

“If you understand… unity of the national army, that won't happen,” Sikorski said. “But I was an advocate for Europe, the European Union, to develop its own defensive capabilities.”

“And we are actually in the process of forming a strengthened brigade,” he added. “That alone isn't enough to stop Putin, but it's probably enough to sort out some of the Libyan warlords.”

A comment on TVP's world by Sikorski has come to Saturday YouTube video.

Last Wednesday, President Trump said he hopes to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin many times. The president is likely to be the first to meet in Saudi Arabia.

“I hope we will meet in the end,” Trump said in his oval office. “In fact, we expect him to come here. I'll go there. We'll probably see him in Saudi Arabia too. The first time we'll see him in Saudi Arabia.”

News Nation on Saturday discusses Secretary of State Marco Rubio, national security adviser Mike Waltz and Middle Eastern envoys to perhaps high-level Saudi Arabia Russian officials to end the war in Ukraine. He reported that he had probably met with high levels of Russian authorities to do so.

However, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously said that Ukraine had not received an invitation to a Saudi Arabian meeting with Trump and Russian officials.

“It's odd to hold a meeting in this format before discussing with a strategic partner,” Zelensky told a Munich reporter on Saturday.
