The family of a 9-year-old boy who is battling brain cancer now endures a different kind of nightmare. He is a con man who exploits his tragic circumstances and collects cash for himself.
Twisted Imposters earns money from well-intentioned donors through PayPal using photos of Julian Galloway on fake Tiktok and other social media accounts. ABC13 reported.
The Texas, who shared Julian's brave cancer journey on Facebook, learned about the Ghoulish scheme in May.
“I'm very disappointed. The boy's father, Lee Galloway, told the Post on Monday.
Julian was diagnosed with medulloblastoma in December 2019. The boy was given two years ago for six months to a year, but he ignored all possibilities and still fights a good fight today, ABC13 said.
The family spent quite a bit of time reporting fake accounts, navigating through the app and its help centers to get the posts down, but still certifying that the family “everyone was sacrificed.” Even it was difficult. He said he was independent.
While families have seen a decline in scammers as they began to speak up about the situation, Galloway has more up-to-date information, including photos of Julian specifically sending to nonprofits and photos that he just posted. You are still finding new accounts that include. I went to my Facebook page as early as a few minutes ago.
Last February, Julian was sworn in as Honorary NYPD Detective and won the Inspiration Award at Blue Life Matter NYC Archangel Gala In March.
Julian is currently fighting cancer with the official Tiktok page @teamjulianofficial.
“I still want his story there. He's been fighting for five years and still against the odds,” Galloway said.
