Organization launches ‘new NRA for education’ to bring reform

Exclusive – Organizations that want to reform school boards across the country are launching what is called the “New NRA for Education.”

Ryan James Gardski, founder of the 1776 Project PAC, said, “The 1776 Project PAC… was extremely successful in the last four years, and over four years it was a member of the Education Committee. Founded in 2021, the 1776 Project PAC says their mission is to “rekindle the sparks and spirit of that revolution by reforming the school boards across the United States.”

An embargoed press release from Project PAC in 1776 states that the new foundation is “a derivative of Project PAC in 1776.”

“Since 2020, the 1776 Project PAC has led a conservative battle to win conservative school board seats and own education issues, a classic from the end of remote learning. They own educational issues to advocate for returning to education,” reads the release. “Over 250 of the approved candidates won the election. The new foundation states, “It is building a playbook to reverse decades of decline. The 1776 Project Foundation will study education initiatives and develop policies.

First and foremost, Girdusky says he hopes the new foundation will mobilize parents to run for the school board.

Girdusky said. “It's essential. Often people are just afraid, they don't take office. And it's very important to run for the school board. And then, accessing the 1776 Project PAC, the Education Board, Run for it and ask for our approval.”

Once his parents were elected, he said he wanted to see them work to improve the school for their students.

“Once they've been there, I want them to think about the systemic issues faced by certain school districts,” Gardsky said.

Aiden Butsetti, president of the 1776 Project Foundation, told Fox News Digital that he wanted to be the “intellectual backbone” of education reform.

“There are so many board members in the US. There are over 80-100,000 board members,” Buzzetti said. “It's about being organized with people looking to education reform, and being able to get the resources needed to implement appropriate policies and even review the policies that the current committee has already set up.
