meanwhile Glenbeck Not sports enthusiasts, but sometimes games[transcends] and [defines] The time we live in. ”
“Sometimes, we all say what we're thinking, and like Jericho's horns, we announce our arrival and future,” he says.
In these unusual exercise venues, Glenn tunes.
Last weekend was one of those days. The US National Men's Hockey Team faced off against Canada in Montreal, in a match about national glory rather than athletic glory.
While the US national anthem was playing, Canadian fans booed loudly, angering some of the American players.
“When the pack finally fell at the start of the game, the American Center barely saw the pack. He didn't mind playing the game at that point. He quickly tore his gloves and sticks. I dropped it, recorded the opponent and took him to the ground,” Glenn said.
“As the judge pulled the Americans apart, he glared at the hostile crowd and slid his head high.”
The brawl was one of the first fights 9 seconds The game.
“Our boy was a bit sick and tired of boos,” says Glenn.
The US 3-1 victory further highlighted the match's message. In your danger! ”
“It was fantastic,” says Glenn. Glenn called a faceoff that reminded me of the iconic 1980 miracle that the US had overthrown much-loved Soviet Union in a match that symbolized Cold War American patriotism.

“In 1980, the US was in the same situation as us, and it was a hockey game that changed everything,” recalls Glenn.
“The world generally respected us, because, as we now, we have lost respect for ourselves. Our country is the civic unrest we have seen up until now. “We were experiencing some of the most intense movements of the world. The left seized it and kept us in an eternal cycle of class and social war,” he continues.
In the summer before the miracle, President Jimmy Carter dealt with the US issues with a televised broadcast that claimed that a “confidence crisis” had taken over the country.
“It is a crisis to be struck by the will, souls and spirits of our people. We are growing doubt about the meaning of our own lives and the loss of unity and purpose in our nation We can see this crisis with confidence. The erosion of our trust in the future threatens to destroy America's social and political structures,” he said.
“Oh! Glenn sighs, pointing out that Carter can “convey a passionate speech,” then return to Washington, “double down the policy” that was causing the problem.
Glenn recalls how inflation has climbed over this time.[hitting] By 1980, interest rates that had been heated had skyrocketed…banks stopped lending, unemployment rates spiked, the economy was clearly in a recession, and the geopolitical landscape was tragic.”
“Any of these familiar sounds?” he asks.
“The world did not respect us because we respected ourselves. The Soviet Union seemed to be beating the war for the global mind and heart, and then – hockey “He says.
On February 22, 1980, the ice rink became a “war battlefield of the Cold War” when the US national team faced the Soviet Union under the leadership of Coach Herb Brooks.
The US team was primarily made up of amateurs, while the Soviet opponents were four gold medalists and were very much preferred to win matches, while the American losers were the last of the game He scored the winning goal in 5 seconds. This victory is one of the most iconic moments in the history of sports.
Was the hockey game last weekend between the US and Canada's ice 2.0 miracle?
“I don't know…but I couldn't help but feel the same on Saturday,” Glenn says.
“I think America is back. We are not ashamed. We are not threatened and we will not cower anymore.”
