House GOP leaders double down as rival Senate GOP bill moves forward

House Republican leaders have doubled their one-building plan to pass President Trump's legislative agenda after the Senate announced it would move forward with a contrasting blueprint this week.

“We focus on lasers on sending bills to President Trump's desks to secure borders, keep taxes low, strengthen US military forces and improve government work for all Americans. It remains the same”)) I wrote it on social platform x. “The Americans have given us a delegation. We have to deliver.”

House Republicans are about to vote for a budget resolution as soon as the Chamber of Commerce returns to Washington from a holiday next week. However, the efforts can face challenges as moderates and some conservatives express concerns about potential spending cuts on social safety net programs, namely Medicaid.

Soon after Sen. John Tune (Rs.D.) announced this week that the Chamber of Commerce would vote for a budget resolution, House GOP pushbacks were to be seen as Strategic Republicans enact Trump's domestic I came right after considering gaining an advantage in combat to use. Policy priorities.

The Senate supports a two-track framework – the first measure will address borders and defense and a second tax cut, but the House will be the blue of a single claim that includes all presidential wish list items I've given up on photography.

Johnson took the veiled swipe in the Senate resolution, and the House version “not only implements President Trump's first national agenda, but also promises to come back later.” He said.

House majority leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) wrote in X, reflecting that sentiment.

“Securing borders, opening up US energy to reduce US energy, keeping tax rates low (including no tax on tips), strengthening national defense, extending debt caps for two years, and identifying Doge in government Passing to the Waste Act. Passing the @Reparrington budget will bring all the priorities of one big and beautiful bill into motion,” he added. “Let's make America great again!”

Thune's decision to place the Senate budget resolution on the floor comes less than a week after the Budget Committee proceeded with the action by a partisan vote. The law includes approximately $325 billion to strengthen border operations and allows Trump to implement deportation plans, promote defense spending and Greenlight Energy Plans.

“It's time to act on the decisive mission Americans gave to President Trump in November: secure borders, rebuild defenses and unleash American energy. This week, President It starts with passing the budget @lindseygrahamsc,” ThuneI wrote it on x. “Let's get that done.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham (Rs.C.), chairman of the Budget Committee, praised Thune's move.Write to x: “Talking about budget resolutions this week will bring you a step closer to the most transformative border security bills in history.”

“Time is the essence,” he added.

Republicans at Capitol Hill are trying to use the budget settlement process to advance Trump's agenda. The first step in the process is to adopt budget solutions.

House Republicans have sometimes struggled to implement the plan, but have affirmed that they would like to use one strategy. After facing a deadlock to the depths of spending cuts, the House Budget Committee proceeded with a resolution last week in line with party policy.

But now, moderates and some conservatives have expressed concern about potential Medicaid cuts.
