President Donald Trump again approved the House settlement bill on Wednesday after the Senate advanced its own budget resolution Tuesday night.
The Senate pushed up the blueprint for the 2 Bill budget and raised a potential vote later this week. Meanwhile, the House is in a position to vote for the settlement bill when members return to session next week.
“We need to pass both chambers the House budget to “kickstart” the settlement process and move all priorities into the concept of “one big beautiful bill.” It will definitely make America great again! ”
It is also worth noting that South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham introduced the Senate proposal before Speaker Mike Johnson finalised the House budget.
Trump despite repeated delays on the House side repetition His support for “One Big Beautiful Bill.”
“The House and Senate do their epic job of working together as a unified, invincible team, unlike the Lindsay Graham version of the extremely important laws currently being discussed, not just some of them! ” Trump said Wednesday in a True Social Post.
“We need both chambers to “kickstart” the House budget settlement process and move all priorities to the “one big beautiful bill” concept. It will definitely make America great again! ”
As Trump pointed out, the House bill addresses all the key policy priorities the administration is aiming to implement, including border clauses, defense spending, tax cuts, and spending cuts. The Senate approach addresses the same issue, but that two-bill approach divides border and defense spending from the tax bill.
One important difference between the two proposals is that the House bill does not allow a permanent extension of Trump's tax cuts from 2017. I'll consider it Dealbreaker.
Still, it is clear that Trump has given Johnson's big and beautiful building his blessing.
