Meghan Markle Slammed for Renaming Her Lifestyle Brand After a Beloved Small Clothing Business

Meghan Markle generated a backlash this week by choosing a lifestyle brand named after a small business.

“On Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex revealed that she has changed her name from the American Riviera Orchard, as ever. But the problem is that the name already belongs to a small clothing brand based in New York City. It's what it is.” Fox News.

The Markle brand intends to focus solely on lifestyle products, and reportedly does not make any clothes.

NYC founder Mark Kolski took him to social media shortly after the announcement, assuring his followers that his company “doesn't belong” with Meghan Markle.

“Wow, hello,” Kolsky wrote. On Instagram. “Thank you to all the old friends who know and love our little family brands. We also say hello to everyone who has realised we exist. In the past 36 hours, we Support and concerns have been poured in about recent events regarding the brand of the same name. We know. We don't belong.”

“The venture began in 2015 when he recreated the vintage army and created a signature tanker pants for his wife, Astrid Dahl, as a side hobby. Then, a pink jumpsuit followed, and soon there was a cult classic. It's become,” he continued. “In 2017, we became official and started manufacturing as before. There are several women and events that helped us create our brand. We would like to thank you again. We also have Robert Chauka and I would like to thank his family-run factory. Without all of them, it still doesn't exist.”

“It's 2025. I'm still grateful to be making clothes in New York and New Jersey,” he concluded. “We are grateful to our customers from around the world from the coast of all our customers who have supported our ventures. We will continue as ever.”

Kolsky said solar He explores legal options, but doubts him to win.

“I'm a very small business. I'm a family business. I'm essentially a single band,” he said. “This new venture has the power and money behind it. Even if I wanted to do something, I don't think I have the lawyer and money giant behind this. ”

Fans of the brand up until now have expressed disapproval of Markle's name selection.

“Meghan Markle took the same name as a clothing store that has already been registered with trademarks… as always,” One X user wrote. “They didn't steal her brand. She tried to take theirs.”

“Is Meghan Markle trying to do a “Break Live Leave Live Mauve” in which he steals the brand's name with clothing from a New York-based brand? And is Netflix wrapped in it? ” asked another person.
