President Trump Invites ‘Governor Trudeau’ Join Him to Watch 4 Nations Final

The fist flew when Team USA played against Canada on Saturday night, and the war of words continued. Now President Trump weighs.

In a post on the Truth Society on Thursday, Trump not only suggested that Canada should once again become the “51st state”, but also invited the “governor” to watch the game with him.

“I'll call the US Great American Hockey Team this morning and drive them towards tonight's victory over Canada, written by the future president of Canada.

“But we're all watching. If Governor Trudeau wants to join us, he's welcome.”

Montreal's Canadian fans booed the American national anthem before Team USA beat their north neighbors 3-1. Booing, among other provocations, caused a noisy opening after the puck fell, as three fights broke out in the first nine seconds.

The Canadians mentioned starting booing during the NHL game before the four countries face off, slapping the country with tariffs after suggesting that Canada would become the “51st province.”

“I think there was a bit of a political flare in it,” Team USA coach Bill Guerin said of the political background of the booing. “That's when we're here.”

Canada and the US will play at the 4 Nations Face Off Championship Thursday at 8pm ET.
