77% of Americans concerned about Chinese ownership of TikTok as Trump admin scrambles to ‘save’ app

A national survey obtained by the Post shows 77% of Americans are holding China's ownership in Tiktok, despite the Trump administration screaming to cut contracts to “save” popular apps He says he is concerned about this.

President Trump will need to find a U.S. buyer in Tiktok until April 5th before delaying enforcement of the federal ban on apps. Tiktok went offline temporarily in January after ignoring the January 19 deadline for China's parent ordinance to sell out entirely.

Overall, 63% of Americans support either a complete ban on Tiktok or a forced sale of the app to American owners. Only 19% prefer to increase US surveillance and maintain control, while 15% have not been changed to current ownership.
