“They are horrifying and unfortunately, often obviously hidden,” Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly said of the alleged crimes at a press conference Friday.

“These women are victims, victims of this man's sex trafficking, and we need to stand up and help victims of these crimes.”

At this point, she added, there are three confirmed victims linked to Ramos.

The victims are 31, 44 and 53 years old, with all three legally in the country, officials told the Post.

Ramos, who lives in Astoria, said in November 2023 that if she doesn't continue working for him, he will show his family or record her naked in bed with sex buyers Police secretly recorded video, the felony complaint states. .

She feared she would face ridiculous from relatives and criminal charges from authorities, but the victim continued to work for Ramos until this July, according to the complaint.

Nassau County executive Bruce Blakeman said at a press conference Friday that Ramos was illegally in the country after traveling from Mexico to the US. The working paper that Ramos might have had was expired, he pointed out.

“Mr. Ramos is being charged with human sex trafficking and other charges,” Blakeman said.

“This is an important case because it shows the need to ensure that people who are illegally here and commit serious crimes are arrested and brought to trial.”

According to Nassau Police Chief Chris Ferro, the investigation was held last July after authorities received hints about possible human trafficking.

Ramos is facing charges of sex trafficking, a second promotion of prostitution and a third promotion of prostitution, prosecutors said.

He was detained during the court complaint Friday on $250,000 in cash or $500,000 in bonds.

His message to his lawyer was not immediately returned on Friday afternoon.
