New York scammer Shania Baptiste steals elderly Florida woman’s life savings: police

The New York “scumbag fraud artist” stole an elderly Florida woman from saving lives as part of Heartless's lottery plan, police said Wednesday.

Shania Avaptist, 25, and two others accusing him of tricking an 85-year-old child from Daytona Beach Shores to believe that a well-known publisher won $1 million for clearing the house's sweepstakes It's been done. WFTV 9 reported.

The cruel perpetrator is said to have told the elderly in June that he had to pay taxes and fees in advance to redeem the prize.

The elder tried to wire the Baptist twice to $20,000.

Initially, the bank teller warned that wiring money for that reason was a scam, and the suspects pretended that the elderly were sending funds to New York families for repairs to their homes. It is said that he persuaded him to go to the bank. It has been reported.

The suspect stole more than $35,000, according to Volsia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood.

The Brooklyn native Baptist was handed over to Daytona Beach Airport on February 19th, with Sheriff Chitwood sending a stern message on Crook's face.

Baptist claimed she was innocent.

“I'm sorry for the crime I committed, but that wasn't me,” replied Baptist.

Chitwood rated the NYPD Financial Crime Unit as supporting the position and relocation of suspicious fraudsters.

Baptist accomplice Neilson Brooks was booked at the Volsia County Jail on February 15th.

He posted the bond and was able to leave nearly three hours later, prison records show.

Baptist and Brooks face accusations of an organized scheme for fraud over $20,000 and massive theft.

“Tracking you in the US will bring your a- back here and let everyone see what kind of scum bag you really are and how you treat with the seniors of our community. Please,” Chitwood added.

The Sheriff's Office has recovered $20,000 to give back to the victims.

The remaining money is not expected to be repaid until the case goes through the judicial process.

However, Chitwood warned that the victims might never see the remaining money again.
