Scientists find clues on why COVID vaccine causes chronic health problems in some

For the majority of people, the covid vaccine does not cause any adverse health effects, but experiences chronic symptoms that can last for months or years.

Yale researchers have recently made some discoveries about why certain people experience this condition.

In early discoveries, the team recognized “potential immunological patterns” unique to people in PVS. The hope is that this finding will help enable future treatment and treatment for those affected.

“This work is still in its early stages and we need to examine these findings,” said Sterling, professor of immunobiology at Yale School of Medicine, a joint research author, in a press release.

“But this gives us hope that there may be something we can use to diagnose and treat future PV.”

Symptoms of post-vaccination syndrome

According to Yale researchers, people in this condition can suffer from excessive fatigue, exercise intolerance, brain fog, insomnia and dizziness.

These usually occur within 1-2 days of vaccination and can worsen over time.

“It is clear that some individuals are experiencing important challenges after vaccination. Our responsibility as scientists and clinicians is to listen to their experiences and strictly address the underlying causes. It's about researching and finding ways to help.” On YSM, released.

“Vaccinosis syndrome is real and has been discovered [to occur] From many vaccines, including Covid,” Dr. Marc Siegel, professor of clinical medicine at NYU Langone Health and senior medical analyst at Fox News, told Fox News Digital.

What the research found

The researchers analyzed blood samples from 42 study participants and 22 people who had experienced PVS symptoms.

Symptomatic individuals have been shown to have low levels of two types of white blood cells. People with PVS who did not have Covid also had lower levels of antibodies to the SARS-Cov-2 spike protein. This is probably because vaccine doses tend to be lower, according to the release.

“Vaccinosis syndrome is real and has been discovered [to occur] From many vaccines. ”

“Lower vaccine doses and no viral infections mean that the body's immune system had little opportunity to develop protection against the virus,” the researchers said.

Some people with PVS had higher levels of SARS-COV-2 spike protein. This can cause the virus to penetrate and infect the host cell. This is also linked to the increased risk of developing long covids.

“I don't know if the levels of spike proteins cause chronic symptoms, because there were other participants with PVS that did not have measurable spike proteins, but one of the mechanisms underlying this syndrome. It could be one.”

In addition to elevated spike protein, other factors may increase the risk of post-vaccination syndrome. These include autoimmunity, tissue damage and reactivation of Epstein Barr virus (EBV), the researchers write.

“In this new study, she reports that a persistent spike protein may be present in a small percentage of people who received the Covid vaccine (and those who have experienced long-term side effects.” Siegel confirmed.

“They can also experience immune destruction, a form of elevated inflammatory immune cells (CD8 and TN alpha) and a decrease in cells (CD4 helper cells) that help resolve inflammation and infection. .”

Researchers agreed that more research is essential to guide diagnosis and treatment.

“We're just beginning to move forward to understand PVS,” Krumholtz said. “All medical interventions have some risk and it is important to acknowledge that vaccines can cause adverse events.”

“Our focus must remain on understanding what these people are experiencing through rigorous science and addressing the needs of those affected by compassion and open minds. ”

Siegel adds, “This needs to be further researched in terms of understanding how common side effects of common long-term covid vaccines are and how to predict and treat them.” Ta.
