5 teens arrested after stray bullet pierces ceiling and strikes sleeping woman in the Bronx

Five teenagers were arrested after slashing a lost bullet through the ceiling of their Bronx apartment and attacking a woman sleeping on her forehead on Sunday night.

The lost bullet reportedly plunged into the first floor apartment from the floor above the floor of a residential building on Perdiaven, near Metropolitan Avenue in Parkchester, police said.

The 55-year-old woman, a 55-year-old woman, suffered a head injury while sleeping in her bed, police said.

She wasn't aware that she was shot until she woke up and found her forehead bleeding heavily, her family said. New York Daily News.

The victim was taken to Jacobia Medical Center and is in stable condition, the NYPD said.

The situation leading up to the shooting is still unknown.

Police have appointed three suspects who were arrested, Dezmon Frazer, Kiron Valerio and Tyquon Williams. He is all 19 years old and lives in the Bronx.

The identities of the two 17-year-old male suspects were kept secret as they are still minors.

All five were charged with second negligence and second criminal possession of a weapon. It has not been decided whether minors will be charged as adults.
