Defense Secretary Pete Hegses gave Fox News host Laura Ingraham an exclusive look at Guantanamo Bay. There, illegal immigrants are being detained as part of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration.
Ingraham, who began his trip early from Andrews' joint base, shared the highlights of his trip to a 45-square-mile military base in southeastern Cuba during “Ingraham's Angle” on Wednesday.
The base is best known for detaining terrorist suspects, including those behind the September 11, 2001 attack. President Donald Trump approved the detention of certain illegal immigrants at his facility shortly after taking office on January 20th.

In January, Trump said he wanted to expand the immigration detention center in Guantanamo to house as many as 30,000 people.
“We're on our way to Guantanamo Bay Navy Bureau on a Department of Defense plane here, where we know there are flights of illegal immigrants that arrive regularly, and that's the administration's decision as a way before they return,” Ingraham said.
Hegses arrived in Cuba's Guantanamo Bay on Tuesday, and his first trip to the Navy facility since being confirmed by his post in January.
Hegus, who served as Li in the U.S. Army at Guantanamo alongside the New Jersey National Guard from 2004 to 2005, was expected to receive briefings on all mission operations at the base, including detention facilities where illegal immigrants from the US were kept before they fled to their own country.
Defense Secretary Trump has addressed media reports circulating about alleged abuse and inhumane conditions on Gitmo. He said he added that it was “BS,” as in one article in The Washington Post, “this idea that people are being abused is absolute trash.”
Hegseth described the living conditions of Gitmo-detained immigrants as “strict” and “basic, but all basic amenities are provided all that is needed.”
He added that detainees receive a variety of amenities and care, including medical checks, dental checks, health care checks, welfare checks and more. [and] Recreational opportunities. ”

Ingraham also pushed a message to the cartel on Hegses. Foreign terrorist organizations.
“We haven't taken anything off the table. There's nothing. We'll do whatever it takes to secure America's homeland, maintain sovereignty and protect the Americans.”
Army veterans also said that when asked about the Fentanyl Institute's potential strike within Mexico, he “doesn't rule out anything.”
“Everything is on the table. The Commander will ultimately have consultations with the Chairman and others in my consultation, and make those decisions, but nothing has fallen off the table. Our sovereignty is defended.”
Almost 200 Venezuelan illegal immigrants arrested in the US last week flew from Guantanamo Bay after Venezuela expressed interest in accepting citizens, Fox News Digital previously reported.
Earlier this month, two Venezuelan flights carried 190 illegal immigrants from the United States to the South American country.
The US government claims that illegal immigrants in Venezuela, who were transferred to naval bases, are members of the violence Tren de Aragua gang. Trump has transformed the gang into a face of suspicion of the threat posed by immigrants who illegally live in the country.

Shortly after Ingraham arrived at Gitomo, she reported that a flight of immigrants from Fort Bliss had landed and transported nine high-value detainees.
“It's an incredibly professional operation,” Hegses said, reflecting on his time in Guantanamo Bay during his military service.
“The message is clear. If you break the law, if you are a criminal, you can find a way to Guantanamo Bay. You don't want to be in Guantanamo Bay, which housed al-Qaeda after 9/11. They are experts. They are not easy. It's not easy time.
