Trump on 'clean' stopgap funding measure: 'Let's get it done!'

President Trump on Thursday threw support behind the efforts of “clean” ban funding measures, urging Congress to move forward with the legislative agenda with an ongoing resolution.

“As usual, sleepy Joe Biden left us with total confusion. Last year's budget is not over yet,” Trump wrote late Thursday. The true societycast the Biden administration's responsibility.

“We are working very hard with the House and Senate and will pass a clean, temporary government funding bill (“CR”) until the end of September,” he added.

The president praised House Republicans and Speaker Mike Johnson (La.) after successfully passing “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which outlines a budget blueprint focusing on taxes, border security and energy.

But Senate Republicans are questioning the measure and are looking for a major change in the proposed tax cuts, which could be permanent and raise concerns about cuts to Medicaid.

“It's complicated. It's difficult. Senate majority leader John Tune (Rs.D.) said: “There's a few things you need to use a house package to expand.”

Congress must avoid the shutdown until March 14th. Negotiators appear to have hit a wall over whether to limit the president's power to spend agreed money.

Democrats have also proven an insurmountable hurdle for Republicans as government efficiency, an advisory committee focused on curbing government spending, moves to block proposed programs. The controversial Doge has driven out thousands of federal workers during a government overhaul and has filed numerous lawsuits.
