INDIANAPOLIS – Chedure Sanders ended with the same words, starting a 13-minute media period.
“Legend” is not only a slogan for his brand, including clothing lines and podcasts, but also what the Hall of Fame Deion Sanders son wants to be an NFL quarterback.
“We went from Jackson to Colorado and changed two programs in a row,” Sanders told the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine on Friday. “Don't you think you can come to the NFL franchise and change the program again? That's history. It's always going to repeat itself.”
Giants and jets are both wandering for future quarterbacks, that's something New York football fans need to hear.
The Jets are hungry to end the NFL's longest playoff drought (since 2010).
“If you're not trying to change your franchise or culture, don't get me,” Sanders said. “If there are franchises that are distinctive, why are they not choosing me? It's like a cheat code.”
Sanders wore a flashy necklace around his neck, flashing a huge smile and spoke with the swagger with energy. He asked questions all the way through after an NFL-related employee tried to finish the session.
“Do you think critics are worried about saying it, or what do people have to say?” Sanders said. “Do you know who my dad is? They hated him too. If you don't hate people, that's not normal for us.”

Sanders and Miami's Come Ward are two solid first-round quarterback picks in the 2025 draft class, but Ward appears to be separating from Sanders in several scouting circles.
