Giants’ offer to Matthew Stafford revealed as Rams QB saga nears conclusion

The Giants have a nine-digit affinity for Matthew Stafford.

Big Blue discussed a $9-100 million deal with the Super Bowl-winning quarterback if the Rams traded this offseason, confirming Paul Schwartz of the Post.

With a two-year agreement within that range, Stafford averages between $45 million and $50 million per year, in line with reports of at least $50 million in the next transaction.

Stafford will meet with the Rams on Friday to discuss his future in the franchise, according to Athletic, with the Giants and Raiders emerging as top suitors in trade.

Big Blue has already met at Stafford's camp, the post confirmed.

The Giants have shown they are open to providing 37-year-old Stafford with one of the NFL's highest-paid quarterbacks and draft compensation. The despair between general manager Joe Shane and coach Brian Daboll has solidified their position into their crucial fourth season.

The Giants could draft quarterbacks on the third pick with Miami's Camward and Colorado's Shedure Sanders as top options, but this draft class hasn't been well documented by experts.

Stafford will soon provide the Giants with a strong, armed quarterback.

But even that offer still has obstacles.

The Rams are willing to move Stafford, and the NFL network reported Friday morning that the two are continuing their partnership.I feel that this is a very likely event for those involved.. ”

Stafford is expected to be paid $27 million this season. This is far less than other top quarterbacks, but the Rams hesitate to meet his contract wish.

The side hopes to finalise its decision before March 14th, when the previous No. 1 pick is set to receive a $4 million bonus.

If the Rams move on, Stafford will have to choose the Giants over the Raiders.

The Raiders have been stuck in the mud like the Giants for quite some time, but they have a new appeal in the form of minority owner Tom Brady.

Brady and Stafford recently crossed the Montana path, but the extent to which they discussed the partnership of the city of sin has been debated among reporters.
