President Donald Trump is reportedly to sign an executive order that will make English the official US language.

Trump's executive order, scheduled to be signed Friday night, establishes English as the Japanese language and marks it for the first time when the US is officially recognized.
The administration says the order aims to “give immigrant power” by unifying America's dreams behind one common language, while also encouraging multilingual Americans to pass English to the next generation.
If they cannot speak any of the official languages of the country, they will be able to communicate with local people, access to essential services, navigate to bureaucracy, find employment, fully integrated into society, and face challenges that could lead to challenges of everyday life and social isolation

The agency will then have discretion to decide whether to provide the service in a language other than English.
“Although there are over 350 languages spoken in the US, English is the most widely used nationwide,” the White House wrote in its fact sheet. Politics.
